Cool Pineapple

Today I have a cool trick to share as well as a cool pineapple card! I've gone with 2 new In Colours - Lemon Lime Twist & Tranquil Tide. My cool trick is in the blending of the 2 colours where they join at the neck of the pineapple. I simply used a tool that was most readily available at the time to blend the colours together ... my finger!! There's no trickery really, but I got a fairly smooth blended look by tapping the colours together with my finger.

I started by inking the bottom half of the pineapple in Lemon Lime Twist and then carefully inking the tip half in Tranquil Tide. Before stamping down I used my finger to merge the 2 colours together so as to avoid a harsh line between the 2 colours.

Try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Crumb Cake cardstock
  • A4 cut in half @ 14.9cm [5-7/8"]
  • Scored @ 10.5cm [4-1/8"]
  • Front:
  • Lemon Lime Twist Frame 9.8 x 14.3 [3-7/8" x 5-5/8"]
  • Whisper White Panel 9.5 x 14cm  [3-3/4" x 5-1/2"]
  • Ink one half of image first in lightest colour, then carefully ink other half in darkest colour
  • Join the 2 colours by tapping your finger to 'blend' the lines, stamp image

Aim For Alaska Blog Hop - May 2017

Welcome to the Aim For Alaska Blog Hop! We're so excited to share our projects using some of the new products coming on June 1st in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Joining me today are crafters from all over the world who share a common goal - to earn a Stampin' Up! Incentive trip! This years hard work is for a trip to ALASKA! Every year Stampin' Up! rewards those incentive achievers with a beautiful, luxurious fully paid experience. Aim for Alaska is a training group established by Kylie Bertucci. I love that this group offers support and business insight in ways I've never experienced before. If you want to register for the next training group you can do that here.

The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy!

I've created a couple of 'lovely' cards using the new Lovely Inside & Out stamp set. I've used a spotlighting technique & carried the stamping off to the background. I've also used a mix of In Colours to get the look! I did make a hugs card last week for another challenge and couldn't resist to use the 2 other main sentiments in the set. How did I line up the stamping? Easy with my stampamajig.

This stamp set does come in a bundle deal with a die set - watch this space for upcoming projects.

A sweet pink card using Powder a Pink, Flirty Flamingo & Fresh Fig

This card a little different  on its colours - but I like different! Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist

Love the colour combination? I'd love you to share or pin them to your favourite boards.

http://whatwillyoustamp.blogspot.com.au/
Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp? To participate in this week's challenge and to see all the great projects from the Design team using this set be sure to visit the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog or simply click the photo below. This week we were challenged to use the Beetles & Bugs Stamp set.

Here's my BUG card. I made this with a little boy in mind. I thought their curiosity and love of all things grimy would be ideal on this card.

Peekaboo windows made with Layering Square Dies & a small circle punch

I've used the sentiments from Baby Bear to create the 'happy bugday'

Using a black marker to fill in some lines here's how..
 han = hap | ry = py | hug = bug | day = day of course!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think! Now, get stamping and submit your project over at WWYS#117

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our projects and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. Joining us today is Nadine Koller from Germany! We've all selected a project to CASE {Copy & Selectively Edit} from our very special guest. The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy.
I have chosen this great project to CASE. I really like the simple and cuteness of these notecards.

Here is my CASE. I've used the Best Birds Bundle to make these notecards with a secret surprise. A pull out panel with the sentiment!
The Mint Macaron panel has foam adhesive strips along 3 edges.
Here's a closer look at the watercoloured bird. I started with a Wisteria Wonder coat on the wings and belly, followed by Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede.
Try making this card!
  • Cardbase in Wisteria Wonder cardstock
  • You can make 2 from an A4 sheet
  • A4 cut down the long edge @  4-1/8" (so piece measures 8-1/4" x 4-1/8"
  • Scored @ 4-1/8"
  • Front:
  • Mint Macaron Frame 3-3/4" x 3-3/4"
  • Whisper White Panel 3-5/8" x 3-5/8"
